![]() ![]() While chasing Iago, Aladdin has a run-in with Abis Mal and some of his men, but is saved by Iago. He meets Aladdin and insists that he is innocent, but Aladdin is not fooled and tries to capture him. He returns to Agrabah, hoping to convince Aladdin that he had served Jafar only because he had hypnotized him just like the Sultan. ![]() Jafar orders Iago to release him at once, but Iago, tired of being treated badly by Jafar, throws the lamp into a nearby well. Meanwhile, in the desert, Iago manages to dig himself and Jafar's genie lamp out of the sand, into which the Genie had fired them. Upon their arrival, Jasmine announces to Aladdin a surprise which the Sultan intends to reveal at this evening's dinner. Just as their incompetent leader, Abis Mal, rouses the ire of his men, Aladdin and Abu steal the treasures back and distribute most of it among the poor of Agrabah, with the exception of a jewel flower, which Aladdin intends to give to Jasmine. The story opens with a band of robbers arriving in their hideout with their latest spoils. Plus we have the genie, Abu, and the carpet back, how could you not just fall in love with them again? Return of Jafar is a great sequel and has a very good story. I thought it was pretty cool to see how Jafar would get his revenge as a genie, you thought he was a scary villain just as a sorcerer? Imagine him as a genie with all the powers in the world! It's pretty crazy, but I like how they are continuing the story between Aladdin and Jasmine and how Aladdin's life has been since the Sultan has invited him to stay within the castle and to love his daughter. It also helps that his lamp is in the hands of his amoral talking pet, safe (until he turns in the end) from the heroes. As rare as it is, Disney will have good sequels that will come out and one of those is Return of Jafar, even though this one you can tell the animation isn't as great as the original and Robin Williams skipped out on this one, I still really enjoyed this Disney sequel. When the two meet again in Return, Jafar is a full-fledged genie still, and while he is still bound by the rules of the lamp, it gives him a raw power advantage over the Genie. She adopts a seductive pose and a smooth voice, flattering Jafar to the point that he calls her “pussycat.” Eventually, she kisses him. ![]() Genie tries to explain that he can’t make people fall in love, but Jasmine notices Aladdin sneaking in to steal back the lamp, and decides to play along. He is evil, the worst sort of traitor, betraying the Sultan while pretending to be a faithful adviser. He later appears as the main villain of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. Jafar is the main antagonist of the 1992 Disney animated film Aladdin and its first sequel The Return of Jafar. In the Disney film, he fools him by disguising himself as a beggar. There were several differences between his role in the Disney film and the original Aladdin tale in 1001 Arabian Nights: In the original tale, Jafar fooled Aladdin into thinking he was his long lost uncle. As far as Jafar’s family goes, he has a twin sister named Nasira, who tried bringing her brother back to life in the game, Nasira’s Revenge. At some point, he purchased Iago from a bazaar as his minion, as Jafar noted in The Return of Jafar. He is handsome, punkish, and mischievous. JayJay is the secondary tritagonist in Descendants and Descendants 2, and a major character in Descendants 3, played by Booboo Stewart. She also is mentioned to have been the victim of murder, which caused her husband to keep their daughter inside the palace for protection. She comes from the South Asian-inspired Kingdom of Sherabad, which Jafar wanted to conquer to expand Agrabah. Realizing that what Aladdin says is true and that he’s still “second best”, Jafar, consumed by his hunger for power, uses his final wish to become an all-powerful genie, in an attempt to rule the whole universe.
